DANKE

The best weekend with a great victory

I am so happy! We played our last home game yesterday, and we won! I had a lot of friends and family members there to see me (even on the other side of the court), and I felt like being home - where ever I can say that home is! It was just nice, free and wonderful.

There was a big party, thanking the fans and helpers for the season, great food, a lot of beer (as usual), running with the Hungarian flag, writing tons of autograms... what a perfect ending!

I will upload some pictures from this evening, this meant really a lot to me! I felt like I am so lucky to have all these people around me. It´s a great feeling!

: )))

Harder, better, faster, stronger

The title isn´t only the title of a song from Daft Punk (which I like a lot). It is also a symbol for my life this season.

HARDER I had to get A LOT harder this season, because a lot of things were very hard to get through. A lot of things!

BETTER I hope things are getting better in the future. I am the kind of person who always believes that things are getting better... sometimes I wonder why? It´s just like that, and I am glad I have this character!

FASTER Well, to be honest, I wish time would go by faster. Much faster! Especially the Easter Holiday. Everyone is going home to meet family and friends. I am stuck here alone, without knowing anybody! How sad... 2,5 days just sitting in my room, waiting for the time to go by... or I can do stuff, yes, but how much fun is that doing it alone? I can tell you: not a lot of fun!

STRONGER This word is the best of all the words. My favourite! Because it symbolises everything I am after this season. I am much-much stronger, standing out all the stuff I have to go through!

Now that I explained all the words, I think I´d just better go back to the Kanye West version of the song from Daft Punk at last... because the lyrics has a really matching part which describes my season perfectly:

"That don´t kill me, can only make me stronger".

EXACTLY. SO TRUE!

Happy (new year)

Looks like the year begins really happy for me! Sorry, but the title up there isn´t actually a wish for you, it´s exactly how I feel: happy!

I have 4 months left here in Dachau, and I decided to make the best of it, enjoy the time while I´m here. After deciding this, I got some news. I didn´t want to talk about it too much until I knew it´s for sure that it happens, and I think I have to wait a bit more to tell it. The main thing is: these news made my decision to enjoy my time here even easier! I am so glad this is happening, couldn´t even have dreamt of something nicer! Thank you, people who made this change! You just made my life so much better : )))

When I was in Innsbruck last week, we went to luge (can you say that???). One hour walking up the mountain in -15 celsius, of course sweating, then sliding down for like 15 minutes. Fun? Yes.  Tiring? Very much!

Made some pictures, that´s the best part! I love photographing : ) check them here:

That´s the view while walking up the mountain...

Finally we saw the Hütte up there, our goal! On the last picture: yeah we made it!

I just can´t tell you enough how lucky I feel!

Back from Hamburg

Yesterday we left to play the cup against Hamburg - in Hamburg. It took many hours with the train to get there, and from there it took some time to get to the hotel as well... and from there to the gym... and back to the hotel... and then to the train station. We played a short game, slept some hours and travelled back again. My life is a big travelling... how effective is it to travel 13 hours for 1 hour of playing?!

Not to mention: Hamburg is further away from here then Budapest is! That means I could go home and visit my family, drink a coffee for one hour and then take the train back here. Well, that´s quite what we did now, except: instead of taking a coffee I played a game... not the same thing? I know, but looking at the time proportions it´s kind of similar!

Can´t all the volleyball players that play in the same league move to the same city?

Then we just had to travel within the city, it would be so much easier... saving a lot of time... I know: I just keep on dreaming...

Crazy days

Friday (today) is a big day! 2 friends are coming to visit me, but I´ll leave with my team to a tournament - where? IN INNSBRUCK!!!

What else more? Check this out: my old team (Innsbruck) isn´t in Innsbruck. And why? Because they´re leaving to Croatia for the weekend!!! We´ll just pass each other without meeting...

Yeah that´s just typical... well I guess I have to be satisfied with last weekend when we met quite a lot, and the other great news: my good Swedish friends (who I was supposed to play in one team with) Anna and Matilda are visiting me!!! - and of course the Oktoberfest...

At least on sunday I plan to come back from the tournament (even if not on Austrian Autobahn because we won´t buy Vignette), get home and get ready for OKTOBERFESCHT!!! If my plans are as perfect as they always are, I might get my friend(s) from Innsbruck here too, at least Martina. Hopefully they get back from Croatia at a human time!

Then I have to say: friday is not the only big day; sunday´s even bigger!!!

Not to talk about the saturday when I might get to meet Dessi again : )))

We´ll see how everything goes... first of all I have to concentrate on our games at the tournament!

Home!!!

After 2 weeks of training camp in Italy, we´re finally at home! I´m so exhausted... wasn´t able to sleep so much and got more and more tired every day, until the only thing I wanted was to go home and sleep in my own bed. I had a hard time enjoying the kindness of the hotel personal, the nice sunshine and the beach... and of course the Italian buffé (which after 2 weeks was everything but not new and exciting : )

Now we have/had 2 days off with just a fitness practice and tomorrow early in the morning we leave to a tournament in Austria, Dornbirn. I´m so nervous! My old team VC-Tirol is gonna be there as well, we´re in different groups but we´re probably gonna play next to each other at the same time which will be hard, I hope I can focus on my own game instead of always staring on the other side and see how the new team (with only one player left from the last year´s starting 6) is doing.

I´m tired of writing this now... see pictures from our amazing photographer on our homepage about the whole training camp, day by day: http://www.sonthofen-volleyball.de/ and then click on "Tagebuch aus dem trainingslager", scroll down and enjoy... : )

Pfiati!

San Benedetto del Tronto

I am in Italy now, in San Benedetto del Tronto. The sun is shining, the beach is 2 minutes from the hotel and every second afternoon is off so we have time to enjoy the sun and not only build our team! The food is very nice beautiful, Italian bufé. We´re here for one more week!

What else do I need to say?

Training camp nr.1 - Sonthofen

Last thursday we left Dachau for Sonthofen, to get to know our home gym and "home town". It was a nice and bounding trip, we slept in some luxurious place called "the gym". Yes, and not only did WE but so did two other teams as well... Dachau men´s team and another women´s team! This could be interesting... and it was! The first night there was a misunderstanding: the guys thought that training camp means "party all night" and "don´t let the girls sleep" which made us soooo angry that we told everyone the next day, coaches and stuff. Yes, we tried everything else at first but nothing else worked but "telling our daddies"... So, should I tell you or is it clear that the second night was the best: not a voice, not a noise and we slept like babys!!!

I liked the practices and every day there were other activities beside the practices, such as a reaaaally important Team Presentation and Beach Party saturday night in Wonnemar´s nice bath in Sonthofen. This was a nice party with food and drinks, bathing and sauna, in- and outdoors. Which was followed by a really long and hard practice sunday morning, with many sleepy faces... : )

One of the days (friday I think) we visited a small house in the mountains where we ate some Bavarian specialty (home made noodles with cheese), it was a bit too much for me but it was not so bad. We also had a very very very very nice ice-cream earlier that day in the city, I mean I had an ice coffee in the city´s best ice cream place Eis Venezia who´s owner likes the team and invited us for whatever we wanted! Mmmm, as we always said last year in Innsbruck: it was soul orgasm!!! : )

On sunday, after the terrible and long half-sleeping practice we visited the bath again and enjoyed naked sauna (not!) and nice hot bubbly water before we left back to Dachau...

Now I am so tired that if I don´t stop writing I might delete everything while my sleeping head falls on the computer! So, ciao!
